Clarity on the Process
Frequently Asked Questions.
Clear, clinical, and reassuring answers to everything you need to know about preparing for, experiencing, and integrating your craniosacral sessions.
1. Session Mechanics & What to Expect
What actually happens during an in-person session in Gurugram?
You remain fully clothed and lie comfortably face-up on a wide, cushioned therapy couch with supportive pillows beneath your head and knees. Vishakha begins with a brief, unhurried conversation to understand your current physical and emotional concerns. She then makes very light, non-invasive hand contact—typically starting at the feet, then gently holding the sacrum, spine, or specific cranial bones at the base of the skull.
There is zero cracking, popping, or forceful manipulation. The contact is neutral, receptive, and listening. Most clients experience profound relaxation, light floating sensations, gentle abdominal gurgling (a sign of parasympathetic digestive activation), or drop into restorative, dreamless sleep.
How does BCST differ from chiropractic care, osteopathy, or deep tissue massage?
While chiropractic adjustments use high-velocity thrusts to realign vertebrae, and deep tissue massage applies muscular pressure, Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy works directly with the central nervous system and fluid dynamics.
Rather than imposing external torque on your bones, the practitioner tunes into the slow tidal rhythm of cerebrospinal fluid. When the nervous system is offered a completely still, neutral fulcrum, your own muscles and dural membranes uncoil their own strain patterns from the inside out. This makes BCST exceptionally safe, gentle, and lasting.
Is BCST painful or uncomfortable in any way?
No. The touch used in Biodynamic CST is feather-light—often measured around 5 grams, approximately the weight of a coin. It is never painful. Because there is no force, your body's defensive reflexes never engage. Clients often express amazement at how such a gentle contact can produce profound physical decompressions and relief from chronic pain.
2. Session Duration & Expected Frequency
How long does a session last?
Sessions typically last between 60 to 90 minutes. This generous window ensures there is ample time for an initial intake discussion, 45 to 60 minutes of uninterrupted table or remote stillness, and time to ground yourself and discuss your experience before heading home.
How many sessions will I need to resolve my condition?
Because every nervous system has a unique history, the number of sessions depends on whether your challenge is acute or chronic:
- Acute Reset (1 to 2 sessions): For sudden exhaustion, exam panic, temporary sleep disruption, or acute muscular tension after travel.
- Deep Somatic Patterns (3 to 6 sessions): Recommended for longstanding conditions like chronic migraines, sciatica, spinal disc compression, fibromyalgia, postpartum depression, or stored emotional trauma. Sessions are typically spaced 1 to 2 weeks apart to allow neural integration.
- Ongoing Maintenance: Many clients choose a monthly ‘tune-up’ session to maintain high resilience, clear mental focus, and autonomic balance.
3. Online & Remote Sessions Worldwide
How can craniosacral therapy work remotely without touch?
In Biodynamic CST, the Primary Respiratory Mechanism is an energetic and fluid phenomenon that operates through the relational biofield. Grounded in principles that quantum physics describes as non-locality and entanglement, a regulated nervous system can establish a co-regulating container across physical distance.
Over 80% of Vishakha’s clients take sessions online from across the globe (USA, UK, Canada, Australia, Singapore, Middle East, and all across India). Clients experience the exact same spontaneous spinal unwinding, sudden deep sighs, and deep sleep as in-person visits—with the added advantage of resting in the comfort of their own home.
What equipment or environment do I need for an online session?
All you need is a quiet, private room where you will not be disturbed for 75 minutes. You can rest comfortably on your bed, couch, or a yoga mat with pillows and a light blanket. We connect via a video link (Zoom or Google Meet) for an initial check-in. Once you lie down, you can keep your phone/device beside you on audio, and let Vishakha hold the therapeutic field.
4. Pregnancy, Postpartum & Infant Care
Is BCST safe during all trimesters of pregnancy?
Yes. Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy is exceptionally safe, nurturing, and beneficial throughout all three trimesters. Because no invasive pressure or joint cracking is ever used, there is zero risk to the baby or mother.
It relieves sacroiliac tension, lower back strain, and pelvic floor tightness, while regulating maternal stress hormones. By balancing the maternal pelvis, it gives the baby the physical space needed to assume an optimal head-down position, facilitating a smoother, more natural delivery.
How does cranial therapy help newborn babies with colic and latching?
During childbirth, especially during prolonged labors, rapid deliveries, or vacuum/forceps extractions, the infant's delicate skull bones can overlap (cranial moulding). If this compression pinches the jugular foramen at the base of the skull, it irritates the Vagus Nerve (which regulates stomach acid, peristalsis, and calming) and the Hypoglossal Nerve (which controls tongue movement for suckling).
By gently holding the newborn's sacrum and occiput with feather-light touch, Vishakha releases this compression, resolving colic, reflux, and latching struggles within 1 to 3 sessions. Sessions are baby-led; infants can rest in their mother's arms or nurse throughout.
5. Fees, Payment & Clinic Logistics
What are the session fees and payment methods?
Session fees depend on the format (in-person in Sector 61 Gurugram vs. online remote worldwide) and whether you book single consultations or integrated multi-session recovery packages.
We accept UPI (Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm), NetBanking, Credit/Debit cards, and international transfers. For in-person appointments, you may also choose to pay post-consultation at the clinic. Please reach out via WhatsApp (+91 98183 40470) or submit a booking enquiry for current tariff schedules.
What is the cancellation and rescheduling policy?
Because each session is reserved exclusively for you with ample buffer time, we kindly request at least 24 to 48 hours notice if you need to reschedule. This allows another client on our waiting list to take the opening.
